Account Executive – Reseller

Job Title – Account Executive – Reseller

Job Classification – This position is full-time, permanent and is exempt.

General Duties – This person shall report to the Director of Sales and shall perform all associated functions, within assigned accounts, to identify and close sales opportunities.

This person shall work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM through 5:00 PM or other hours as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Specific Responsibilities – Specific tasks delegated to this employee include, but are not limited to:

Account Development – Identify lead sources. Make outbound cold calls in assigned territories to introduce Function5 and identify potential customers. Record results of all calls.

Account management – Maintain established customer relationships through email, telephone and instant messaging. Track and maintain customer satisfaction. Determine purchase habits and requirements. Maintain customer information files. Obtain reference or accounting information as directed. Resolve customer problems.

Sales – Respond to customer inquiries. Confirm customer requirements and prepare quotes. Receive customer purchase orders and prepare sales orders.

Purchasing – Identify opportunities to acquire equipment, either through lease takeout, end-user takeout or market availability. Identify and fill specific hardware needs. Negotiate purchase terms including price. Prepare purchase orders.

General – Answer incoming phone calls. Prepare general correspondence related to assigned accounts. Maintain sales/purchasing logs for management review. Perform other tasks as directed.

Job Requirements – High School Diploma Required. College Degree Preferred. Two years sales experience required. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and internet portals and search tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Required Physical Skills – This person must be able to type, using a standard keyboard and must be able to use a telephone.
