A milestone anniversary for Function5 Technology Group, April marks 20 years of its unique service to the government and business community.

Function5 Technology Group, Ltd., established in 1999, was founded by Lou Germain with only two sales reps and just a handful of clients. Function5 has since grown to serve over 300 government and commercial clients, including Fortune 500 companies, regional industry leaders, and government agencies such as the Department of Defense and local school districts.

A provider of quality Voice, Data and Network Hardware, Function5 is now an industry leader that helps their customers to control rising IT budgets, lower acquisition costs and improve ROI on IT infrastructure, by effectively remarketing excess or legacy assets or efficiently recycling unmarketable assets.

“At Function5, we encourage an entrepreneurial spirit that empowers our employees. That spirit is fostered through a collaborative, challenging work environment that emphasizes respect, leadership, and measured risk-taking” said Function5’s President Lou Germain. “We look forward to our future and the relationships that we will develop with our employees and Partners. They are the reason why we are here today”

Function5 continues to increase its relationships with government agencies because of programs like IT Schedule 70. Schedule 70 is the largest and most widely-used acquisition vehicle in the federal government. It features a wide variety of information technology products and services including mobile device and mobile application management (MDM/MAM) tools, automated data processing equipment (firmware), software, cloud computing services, hardware, support equipment, and professional services.

The company’s growth and success has been recognized by a number of noteworthy organizations including the following:

  • 2002 – Named to Rochester Top 100 and Dun & Bradstreet Hot 100 as Fastest Growing Companies in America
  • 2003 – Again, Named to Rochester Top 100 and Dun & Bradstreet Hot 100 as Fastest Growing Companies in America
